Classes and Fees

There are several areas covered here. For example, classes and fees will be important but you may want to know about exams, class times and how to get the equipment and other items which may be needed in the classes.

The frequency of exams is determined by the number of pupils ready at any given time. Judy takes great care to ensure that when exams are entered, those involved are ready.

Equipment can be borrowed initially and a service is available for purchasing everything which may be needed.

Classes are arranged tio suit the needs of the parents and the school and information is avaiable from Judy and is displayed whenever the school is operating.

Fees are regulated by the length of time a pupil dances. Each term runs for eleven weeks, which is a little shorter than the normal academic term, as pupils tire towards the end of the main school term and can find extra activities after school a little too much. The scale of fees is as follows:

Length of Lesson time Fees per 11 week Term
30 Minute Lesson each week £33.00
45 Minute lesson each week £40.00
1 hour of lessons each week £50.00
1 ¼ hours of lessons each week £60.00
1 ¾ hours of lessons each week £75.00
2 hours or more of lessons each week £85.00

Thus, a child taking ballet, tap and modern dance for a total of 2 ¼ to 2 ½ hours each week will pay fees of £85.00 per term (£255.00 a year). If he or she is unable to attend a particular class, a class of a similar standard may be joined in the week, on a different day.
